Courtney Egan

Media Arts: Film/Video

Receiving her B.A. from Millsaps College and M.F.A. from Maryland Institute College of Art, Courtney Egan is a video and multi-media artist.  She has presented her work at numerous local and international venues, such as the 2008 Black Maria Film and Video Festival at the New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center, and at Heriard-Cimino Gallery in New Orleans.  She taught visual arts and video production in Jefferson and Orleans Parish schools in the 1990’s, and was adjunct photography faculty for two years at Delgado Community College.  Ms. Egan’s previous position was Artistic Director of Youth Education at the New Orleans Video Access Center, where she developed the Teen Video Workshop.  She is the recipient of a Media Arts Fellowship from the Louisiana Division of the Arts and a Surdna Arts Teachers Fellowship.
