Karen Heil

HR Director

Karen is a Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources *SPHR and joins NOCCA with nearly 20 years of HR operational experience.

She has a BS in Art from UW- Madison (*with a concentration in typography and hand-made books) and is very excited at this point in her career to have the privilege of contributing to NOCCA’s bright vision for the future of the Arts in Louisiana, with its impact reaching into the World!

Karen is a Past President of the Human Resources Management Association of the New Orleans area, the SHRM local affiliate chapter.

She teaches Credentialing Prep classes to H|R Professionals who are seeking their National Certification and has taught some 300 colleagues over the years.

Karen shares the mission of supporting NOCCA’s great curriculum in Literature, Culinary Arts, Jazz & Classical Instrumentation, Vocal Performance, Dance, Visual & Media Arts and Theatre, with our very talented Faculty members who work so hard for our most inspirational treasures, OUR STUDENTS!

She hopes to run into YOU at one of the wonderful music, food, or cultural events that celebrate Louisiana… or down on the Bayou, enjoying some fishing and outdoor life in the estuaries of our State’s great ‘Sportsman’s Paradise’!
