Media Arts: Chair, Theory, History, Studio Production, ScriptwritingDepartment: Media ArtsEmail: PWerner@nocca.com Office #: (504) 940-2834 Receiving his B.A. from St. Joseph’s Seminary College and M.A. from the University of New Orleans, Paul Werner has taught film and television for over 30 years. He was Teacher of the Year in 1999 at Benjamin Franklin High School. He started the Media Arts Department at NOCCA in 2001. He was a curriculum consultant for St. Charles Parish and Orleans Parish schools. He is a former board member of the New Orleans Video Access Center and The Dog and Pony Theatre Company and was coordinator of the Playwright’s Unit at the Contemporary Art Center. His television credits include staff writer for 52 episodes of “Morgus Presents.” He was awarded a Surdna Arts Teachers Fellowship in 2009. He is a member of the Broadcast Education Association and the University Film and Video Association and is an Apple certified trainer. |
