Dance Department Takes Home Top Honors

NOCCA Dance Department freshmen, Madison Ryan and Jessica Smith took home top honors at the Louisiana Dance Master Competition this weekend. The regional event with Madison Ryan going on to compete in New York for the top National Award and scholarships this summer. The competition focuses on classes taught by guest faculty and judges in all disciplines of dance, as well as a personal interview and a solo variation. The combined top score went to Madison Ryan with Jessica Smith right behind her as first runner up.
We are extremely proud of these girls and their work both here at NOCCA but also at their home studios. They are the future of dance in America!
Thanks to the entire Dance Faculty as well for their tireless efforts in promoting dance and sharing their expertise and knowledge. They are truly making a difference.
