Media Arts Student receiving national acclaim for filmmaking

Sarah Devlin is like many high school seniors, spending a lot of time in front of a computer. But it’s what she does there that makes her stand out.

It all began more than four years ago.

When she was 14, Sarah made a movie she called “Writer’s Block,” a class assignment at Ben Franklin. She shot it with a handycam and edited it on a computer in just two days.
