NOCCA Creative Writing Students Collaborate With Filmmakers
Poetry Submitted Becomes Part of Film Landscape
Canadian documentary film director Mitchell Stafiej and creative team reached out to NOCCA’s Creative Writing Department asking for poetry to serve as narrative to his new work. His current project includes visual imagery of the state of natural landscapes shot entirely through a camera that is mounted on the interior dashboard of a car. Inspired by imagery from the film, NOCCA students have created poetry that will be incorporated into the documentary as part of its soundtrack.
After watching the film footage and writing from prompt images sent by producers, over 30 plus students will submit for consideration.
