NOCCA Visual Art Students Receive Recognition In Rau for Art Scholarship Contest

NOCCA Visual Arts students received recognition from The Rau for Art Foundation in their annual Rau For Art (RFA) Scholarship Competition.

 

Students honored include:

Ashley Stelly, Third Place, $1,500 Winner, (Paradis-70080, Hahnville High)

Ian Growden, Honorable Mention, (Kenner-70065, Lutheran High)

Brianna Despenza, Honorable Mention (New Orleans-70114, Karr)

 

Artwork was selected by a panel of judges that evaluated all works submitted equally, on the basis of quality, originality, and creativity in their work. This year’s theme was “New Orleans Cuisine, From Producer To Plate.”

 

About The Rau For Art Foundation

Rau for Art Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose central aim is to support arts appreciation and education in the schools of Greater New Orleans by assisting talented young artists to reach their academic and professional goals. The foundation’s mission is to promote the talent of our community’s emerging artists at the high school-level by awarding their excellence in artistic achievement.
