NOCCA Visual Art Students Receive Strong AP Exam Rankings
Average Score of Four on Studio Art 2D & Studio Art Drawing
The College Board AP Exam recently posted New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) results on its AP Studio Art Drawing Portfolio and AP Studio Art 2-D Design Portfolio. NOCCA is proud to share the news that as an average the Visual Arts students that elected to take this evaluation scored a well-qualified 4 on a 1-5 scale, qualifying the students to receive college credit or advanced placement.
“Once again, NOCCA is proud to receive strong marks in the annual AP exams offered within our Visual Arts Curriculum,” stated Visual Arts Assistant Department Chair Ann Schwab. “The AP test is very rigorous and we celebrate our students who have pushed themselves through the process. These scores are great reflection on our students’ dedication, training and talent set.”
The AP Studio Art portfolios are designed for students who are seriously interested in the practical experience of art. AP Studio Art is not based on written examination; instead, students submit sample work (portfolios) for evaluation at the end of the school year.
