Biography

Grace Booth is a physical theatre actor and playwright with a focus in devised and community-based performance. Local credits include Vagabond Inventions’ “Requiem For A Stranger” and BodyART’s MAISON. Grace was a resident at The Orchard Project/The Exchange in 2017. Her work in 2016-’18 as co-author, producer, and director of touring theatre-and-education project “Jane Doe in Wonderland” received mention by the CNN Freedom Project.  Performance/Creation/Production credits include “Agatha Apple” (Halifax Fringe Festival) and “Get No Place Fast” (San Francisco Fringe Festival, FuryFestival). She was an actor and co-creator of Til Lalezar Theatre’s “Happyland,” SeriousPlay!’s META/PINA, and Nebunele Theatre “Friend’s Enemy,” and trained and performed with Double Edge Theatre in 2007-’08. Grace received an M.F.A. in Ensemble-Based Physical Theatre at Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theater and a B.A. in Theatre and Dance at Amherst College. Her theatrical work draws inspiration from the forces of nature, athletic engagement, character investigation, mask work, creative writing, and physical comedy.
