Vocal Music Students | Juilliard Auditions!
NOCCA Vocal Music students received some special news, their prized audition spot at Juilliard!
Both full-day students at NOCCA in their fourth year of studying Classical Vocal Music, Treshor Stirgus from New Orleans and Olivia Gray from Covington are now ready for the opportunity they have been waiting for many years, the chance to further their studies at one of the most prestigious art conservatories in the world, The Juilliard School.
As they shared this joy with their teachers and fellow students, they learned they would be auditioning on the same day. Treshor and Olivia, friends in and out of school, plan to spend a day together in New York to relax after the stress of completing their audition scheduled for March.
“Treshor and Olivia are two of the hardest working singers in the Classical Vocal Program,” Faculty Chair Phyllis Treigle shared. “I am very proud that they have gotten auditions not only at Juilliard, but at many other prestigious music schools as well, and I am excited to see what the future holds for each of these talented young women. “
Both students understand that acceptance into the prestigious school is just one option for them as they continue to complete their college applications for numerous other programs.
