NOCCA Classical Vocal Student Receives National Award
Full-Day Student Lindsey Reynolds Receives Second Place Nationally In The High School Division of the Classical Singer Competition
Louisiana’s arts conservatory NOCCA is proud to share the news that current Classical Vocal student Lindsey Reynolds (Soprano, 11th Grade NOCCA Academic Studio, New Orleans-70122, Instructor NOCCA Vocal Faculty Chair Phyllis Treigle) recently won second place at the annual convention of Classical Singer in the High School National Competition.
Traveling to Chicago, Lindsey competed with over 200 high school students from across the country and was selected as one of eight finalists from 50 semifinalist, then received second place over all. For her outstanding achievement, Lindsey received a $750 cash award from Classical Singer as well as $150,000 in scholarship offers from colleges from across the country for her level of success.
Lindsey is looking forward to attending a summer intensive at the Tanglewood Institute, located near Boston, where she will further her studies in vocal music.
