New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) shares the news about several events to help prepare art students for college and post-secondary choices.

Countdown To College Week: October 8-13, 2012

NOCCA College Fair, Thursday-October 11, 5-7 PM, NOCCA Campus, No RSVP Needed

New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) invites public, private, parochial and homeschool high school students to attend a special Arts College Fair on Thursday-October 11, 5 PM, at NOCCA, 2800 Chartres Street, New Orleans-70117. The event will serve as a resource center for students as they make decisions on their next steps of education and post-secondary opportunities in the arts and academics. The NOCCA College Fair is free and open to the public.

The event will include a special presentation by Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance and Princeton Review’s “Roadmap To College.”

National Performing & Visual Arts College Fair, Saturday-October 13, 1-3 PM,

College-bound high school students interested in pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies in the areas of music, dance, theater, visual arts, graphic design, and other related disciplines are encouraged to attend the National Association for College Admission Counseling’s (NACAC) Boston Performing and Visual Arts College Fair.

The New Orleans Performing and Visual Arts College Fair will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Pontchartrain Convention & Civic Center from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Admission is FREE and open to the public.  

Students can now register prior to attending these events.  This makes navigating the fair and collecting information from multiple colleges and universities much easier for students. By registering, students can print a bar coded confirmation to be used on-site at the fair as an electronic ID.
