NOCCA Classical Vocal Student Celebrates Her College Acceptance To
Prestigious Music Conservatory
Full-Day Academic Studio | Classical Vocal Student Receives The News She Has Been Dreaming Of
Louisiana’s arts conservatory NOCCA is proud to share the news that current Classical Vocal student Lindsey Reynolds (Soprano, 12th Grade NOCCA Academic Studio, Instructor NOCCA Vocal Faculty Chair Phyllis Treigle) is one of only five vocal students nationally accepted to the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music. The school, located in Philadelphia, is an arts conservatory accepting only a few of the nation’s best and most worthy students through an audition process.
“To be accepted to Curtis is an honor and a dream that I have hoped for,” stated Lindsey. “Curtis is tuition-free and provides me with the opportunity of a lifetime to continue my studies in classical vocal music. I am looking forward to not only studying my music, but am also hopeful to perform as Curtis culture is learning by doing.”
Lindsey, who was also accepted to Juilliard, Boston Conservatory, Loyola University New Orleans, Mannes College The New School and New England Conservatory, is part of NOCCA’s senior class of full-day students who are preparing for graduation and the school’s celebration season, where 12th grade students present and perform as they complete their studies. Look for Lindsey’s senior recital at NOCCA on Friday-April 29, 7 PM in Freda Lupin Memorial Hall on NOCCA’s campus.
