Media Arts Student Selected For Junior Award
NOCCA | Helen Cox High School Student Receives Award In Film Festival
Louisiana’s arts conservatory, NOCCA is proud to share the news that current half-day Helen Cox High School | NOCCA Media Arts student Zoe Carter recently received the news that her film was selected for the Junior Award for Best High School Film at the 2017 Pontchartrain Film Festival. Her film, Alone With Me, In Harmony: A Self-Portrait was screened and selected by judges for this honor.
About Pontchartrain Film Festival
The Pontchartrain Film Festival began in 2011 in Slidell, by the nonprofit Olde Towne Arts Center. It moved in 2015 to Mandeville. The City of Mandeville will host the 5th Annual Pontchartrain Film Festival as part of a Cooperative Endeavor to provide a community event that encourages emerging filmmakers, creates interaction with the regional film economy and provides educational opportunities. Presented by OTAC’s Digital Arts Program, the Pontchartrain Film Festival has become an annual cultural arts event on the north shore.
