Full-Day School Academic Studio Opportunity for Current 8th Graders
Middle and high school students and their families are encouraged to visit New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA, 2800 Chartres Street, New Orleans-70117) as the Center opens its doors to the community on Saturday, October 19, 10 AM-1 PM with an Open Studio Day. This is a great first step for students to learn details about NOCCA and attendance options. No RSVP is required.
At Open Studio Day, families can see first-hand our studios and classrooms. Guests can talk directly with NOCCA faculty and students to learn about NOCCA’s audition process and what it’s like to be a NOCCA student. Application information tables will also be available throughout the building.
Highlights of the Open Studio Day include:
- Information on arts attendance options of ½ day and afterschool instruction in: Creative Writing, Culinary Arts, Dance, Media Arts: Filmmaking & Audio Production, Classical Instrumental Music, Jazz, Vocal, Drama, Musical Theatre, Theatre Design and Visual Arts
- Information Sessions on NOCCA’s full-day school Academic Studio
