Tulane presents a one night only performance of Romeo and Juliet
Don’t miss this one night only public performance, revamped from our summer season for the annual “Performance for the Schools”. Thousands of students from across Louisiana will see this production, but Friday January 10th is the only performance open to the general public.
Featuring Austin Alleman as Romeo & Emily Russell as Juliet.
Rounding out the cast are James Bartelle, Danny Bowen, Silas Cooper, Joel Derby, Sam Dudley, Stephen Eckert, Casey Groves, Max Jay-Dixon, Wendy Miklovic, Diana Shortes & Burton Tedesco.
About the production:
When Romeo and Juliet fall in love, there’s finally hope to end their families’ ancient feud. But can love triumph over centuries of violence, rage and bloodshed? This production, set in the Napoleon-occupied Italy of the 1800′s, explores the difficulty of creating peace in a culture conditioned – not only to accept – but to relish violence.
