The Walt Disney Company Supports
NOCCA Receives Donation from
The Walt Disney Company
$50,000 Donation Will Support NOCCA Students & Alumni
Receiving the news on the birthday of NOCCA’s President | CEO Kyle Wedberg, the phone call from Disney was a joyous gift to help support NOCCA and its students during this challenging year.
“NOCCA is humbled and honored by this grant by The Walt Disney Company,” stated NOCCA President | CEO Kyle Wedberg. “We are thankful to begin the 2021-2022 school year with support of this magnitude. The donation will be dedicated to the student artists with a focus on their wellbeing, NOCCA Alumni and local New Orleans Artist In-Residence instruction, and a potential investment in the future. All of this is needed and appreciated support during this challenging time. NOCCA looks forward to the future of this very special collaboration, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Disney for their generosity.”
Disney has made the investment in NOCCA as part of their continued support of New Orleans and the kick-off of the celebrations for World Princess Week. To kick off the celebrations for World Princess Week, Disney has released more details about the upcoming “The Princess and the Frog” retheme of Splash Mountain at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Disney Imagineers continue to make great progress developing the new concept and divulged some of the behind-the-scenes inspirations.
“Tiana is an ambitious and resilient woman, who proves that success comes through a connection to her family and community and has learned to never lose sight of what’s really important – giving back to others through great food and inspiring them to achieve their full potential,” said the Disney Parks Blog.
